Hello friends! Welcome back to Weekly Challenge! We’re beginning our second mini series within Weekly Challenge this week. I’m calling it Applying Qualities. It is based on 1 Peter 1:5-8 which calls us to apply new qualities to qualities we already have. What I love about this passage is that it is ongoing. I can always improve on each of these.
Last week we talked about self control to wrap up our Fruit of the Spirit mini session. Your challenge was to browse an aisle or store that tempts you and resist the temptation. If you didn’t do so well this time, don’t worry, self control will come up again and this challenge will repeat! Tell me how you did with last week’s challenge in the comments below and as always, feel free to print the cards for your personal use. Remember to post this week’s verse in a location you’ll see daily!
Topic:
Applying Qualities
Scripture:
2 Peter 1:5-8 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Challenge:
Memorize 2 Peter 1:5-8
